“We collaborated directly with the creatives from Target and the word that kept coming up in our discussions was “craft”. The paper world needed to look like it was made carefully by hand, but had to move in a fluid way that reflected new technology. Our 2D paper world revealed hints of its construction, as if it was a stage set. Using a theatrical approach, we incorporated live action characters into a very stylized world. We shot the actors on green screen, and created CG paper environments around them that are clean, modern, and most important, humanistic. A place that we’d like to visit.” - Brand New School
