“The Wonderlost series is my artistic interpretation and dark twist on the numerous characters from Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass” stories. The theme across the whole series is to give each character the look of a porcelain doll, with very pale bleach white skin and bleached white clothing. To sharply contrast the sterile white throughout the painting, there are elements that are either black or blood red, either on the character’s physical self (as in the form of hair) or in their accessories. ” - Raymond Sepulveda

“I am not sure which came first, my being nosey or an interest in ’street photography’, but a fascination with people and the way they live their lives is why I enjoy the business so much. I can’t hide behind lights and technology, I am reliant on a small camera, patience and lots of optimism. But what I get in return is the chance to make an honest picture which people know immediately is a genuine moment and which hopefully burrows deep into their memories.” - Matt Stuart

Born and raised in Toulouse France, Fafi’s strong presence in the graffiti and fine arts scene was first witnessed on her hometown walls in 1994. Back then, as she was painting and hustling, her sexy, funny, and sometimes aggressive girl characters made the whole world look and help kick-start a whole new graphic language; by exploring feminity through stereotypes, and using it to her advantage, she drew enormous attention and thus started to travel the world with thousands of Fafinettes in her brushes and paint cans. Europe, USA, Japan, Hong-Kong, the planet is a playground. And it’s only started.

“Ever since I was a kid I’ve always been drawing characters for make believe video games, cartoons and comics. I also loved drawing my favorite X-men characters, warcraft heroes, and video game sprites. I drew a million Mega Man and Mario drawings. As I grew up, that love for video games and fantasy never left me. I grew to love fantasy novels and that inspired my work. Many of my favorite video games were japanese made so as I drew the characters from those games, I began to fall for the anime style. Of course, that lead me to watch anime - an addiction I still haven’t been able to shake.” - Jason Chan
